OS1st Sponsors World Record Attempt to Complete 48 Pickleball Matches in 48 States in 48 Days
HICKORY, NC (April 14, 2023) – OS1st, the leading brand of performance socks and compression bracing products, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 48-48-48 Pickleball Challenge, a World Record attempt for the fastest time to complete 48 pickleball matches in 48 states in just 48 days.
Avid pilots and pickleball enthusiasts Dean Matt and Shannon Yeager are combining their two passions to set a world record by flying their single-engine Cessna Turbo 206H approximately 8,200 nautical miles to visit each state in the continental United States and meet up with pickleball pros and players to complete a series of pickleball matches.
“We are uniquely positioned as pilots and pickleball fanatics to show the uniting force of pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in America, by playing with pros and amateurs from all over the continental U.S.,” said Matt. “We want to share a story of connection by showcasing pickleball in different communities–the opportunity to set the world record is a bonus.”
To assist in the effort, OS1st will provide their compression socks and bracing sleeves to help improve blood flow during long periods of flying and muscle recovery post-pickleball match.
