Moisture management comes from yarn selection and knit structure — synthetic fibers that move sweat off the skin instead of holding it there. Cotton fails here badly, which is why it's the classic blister sock.
Fit that holds comes from anatomical construction. A sock built with a left and a right, shaped to the actual geometry of a foot, stays where you put it. A tube-shaped sock rotates, and rotation creates friction.
Support where it counts comes from targeted compression. Not a uniform squeeze from toe to calf, but structured zones that stabilize the areas doing the most work while leaving the rest free.
